You'll play a key role in building scalable, high-performance Java services that power retail commerce, from behind-the-scenes infrastructure to customer-facing innovation. If you're passionate about clean architecture and making an impact at scale, this is your opportunity to lead meaningful change in a collaborative, fast-moving team. **What you will do:** + Lead the design, development, and delivery of backend software that drives Clover's retail online shopping experience. + Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to turn business needs into clean, scalable solutions. + Write, test, and debug high-quality Java code, and work across SQL and NoSQL databases to ensure performance and reliability. + Build and maintain cloud-native applications using AWS, Azure, or GCP services. + Drive improvements in our CI/CD pipeline and champion DevOps best practices across the team. + Refactor and enhance existing codebases while guiding design and code reviews. + Mentor junior developers and help the team level up through technical coaching and collaboration. **What you will need to have:** + ​​Bachelor's Degree (preferably Computer Science or Engineering) or equivalent combination of experience, education and military. + 4-6 years of experience in software development. + 5+ years of experience in Java, Spring Boot, and microservices. + 4+ years of experience in SQL databases and NoSQL. + 2+ years of experience in AWS, Azure, or GCP services. + 2+ years of experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. + 2+ years of experience with Agile methodologies. **What would be great to have:** + Experience in the financial services industry. **Important info about this role:** + We're better together. This role is fully on-site. **Salary Range** $108,900.00 - $186,800.00 _These pay ranges apply to employees in New Jersey, New York and California.
