The Sound Engineer/Audio Technician will work with the Production Team to supply superior sound reinforcement for our clients. Essential duties include serving as primary audio engineer and board operator for selected events, troubleshooting and repair of all audio equipment, installing and striking audio equipment as required by various events, inspecting and evaluating all audio equipment to determine effectiveness and general usage, advising management of improvements needed and recommending purchases when necessary, participating in all stage related duties including orchestra shell sets, lighting hangs, stage set-ups, stage changeovers and all stage related duties as per the Production Manager, providing additional support as needed for all shows, working extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed, and other stage related duties as assigned. Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, minimum 2-5 years of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience, advanced working knowledge of audio engineering practices and principles, ability to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure, excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrated leadership skills, ability to work independently and as a team member, ability to maintain effective working relationships with clients and colleagues, ability to work flexible hours based on events, proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, and Dante Certification is a plus. Physical demands include ability to work indoors and outdoors, maneuver around facility, stand or walk up to 8-10 hours daily, hear and speak to use a two-way radio, lift up to 75 pounds, and work at heights or from a man lift. The position reports to the Production Manager and Assistant Production Managers and is hourly, non-exempt.
