Job Description

Seeking a Safety Manager with a strong background in commercial construction safety — ideally someone who has overseen complex operations in high-security, fast-paced environments like Denver International Airport . In this role, you will lead safety efforts across construction sites, ensuring compliance, training, inspections, and proactive risk management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement company-wide safety programs that align with OSHA, local, and client-specific regulations.
  • Conduct regular jobsite inspections to identify hazards, enforce protocols, and ensure compliance with all safety requirements.
  • Lead investigations for accidents and near misses; document root causes and corrective actions.
  • Deliver comprehensive safety training to employees, subcontractors, and site visitors — including orientation, emergency response, and equipment usage.
  • Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and subcontractors to build job-specific safety plans.
  • Maintain accurate safety documentation including training logs, inspection reports, and performance metrics.
  • Regularly communicate safety priorities to all levels of staff and leadership.
  • Track and analyze safety data to inform strategic improvements.
  • Foster a proactive safety culture through positive leadership, visibility on site, and consistent follow-through.

Preferred Background — DIA Experience:

Candidates with safety or operations experience at Denver International Airport (DIA) are strongly encouraged to apply.

  • Federal and local safety compliance (OSHA, FAA, TSA, DEN Operations)
  • Multi-contractor coordination in high-traffic, high-security areas
  • Real-time safety enforcement while minimizing operational disruption
  • Adapting safety plans for complex renovations, airside/landside construction, and secure-access areas

Qualifications:

  • CSP with 4+ years, OR ASP/GSP/SMS , OR CHST/OHST
  • OSHA 500 (current)
  • 5+ years experience in commercial building projects
  • Strong leadership and communication skills; able to influence safety behavior at all levels
  • Solid documentation and reporting abilities
  • Experience using Procore or similar safety management platforms (preferred)
