Location: Sparks, Nevada– Lakes Crossing Center
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday to Friday (Flexible Hours)

About Lakes Crossing Center

Lakes Crossing Center is a maximum-security psychiatric hospital located in Sparks, Nevada. It provides specialized forensic mental health services to individuals involved with the criminal justice system who require evaluation and treatment to restore competency to stand trial or who have been found not guilty by reason of insanity. The center is part of the Nevada Division of Public and Behavioral Health (DPBH) and is dedicated to compassionate, quality care.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor the treatment and progress of clients with mental illness or developmental disabilities

Facilitate day treatment and psychosocial rehabilitation activities

Coordinate discharge and aftercare services in outpatient, residential, hospital, clinic, and community settings

Develop client goals, assist with discharge planning, and work with court-referred individuals (e.g., competency restoration, conditional release)

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or related field

Plus one of the following:

Two years’ experience in mental health or developmental disabilities, including one year of professional casework with psychosocial rehabilitation

OR one year as a Psychiatric Caseworker I in Nevada state service

OR equivalent advanced experience and education
