Job Description

Firm Overview

Established in 2023, SEFO Management is a Dallas-based single-family office managing the wealth and affairs of an ultra-high-net-worth entrepreneur. SEFO’s investment goal is to build a diversified, institutional quality, global portfolio that aligns with the principal’s wealth objectives. We invest both strategically and opportunistically across all asset classes and geographies, with an emphasis on alternative investments.

Our office operates with a collaborative spirit and a commitment to delivering exceptional results. The Investment Analyst role offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with senior leadership in a growing office.

Position Summary

SEFO is seeking a creative, hardworking, and passionate investment professional to join our team. This role will work closely with the CIO and Senior Investment Associate and will be responsible for providing critical support in managing and growing the firm’s portfolio. This position requires a strong ability to multitask and manage several projects simultaneously. Our culture is highly collaborative and entrepreneurial, and we are looking for someone that is a motivated self-starter with a desire to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment. Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Producing thorough investment analysis, modeling, and due diligence reports to aid in the selection of portfolio investments across all asset classes (including, but not limited to public equity, private equity, venture capital, private credit, GP stakes, hedge funds, and digital assets).
  • Analyzing the existing portfolio (asset allocation, proforma modeling, performance, liquidity analysis, and cash flow projections).
  • Preparing monthly performance reports inclusive of all financial activity and auditing internal performance tracking.
  • Maintaining our proprietary investment research database and performance reporting software.
  • Cultivating relationships with existing and prospective investment managers, attending due diligence meetings, and distilling insights.
  • Contributing to unique projects as they arise, including preparing presentation materials, underwriting unique deal opportunities, and ad-hoc market research analyses.
  • Coordinating and managing the ongoing process of liquidity management and payment processes, including leading analysis, strategic planning, and capital call & distribution management.
  • Assisting SEFO’s administrative and accounting colleagues in their efforts to support our development.
  • Staying current with developments in the financial markets and relevant industries to enhance team investment decisions.
  • Identifying and recommending improvements to existing ways of building our office – we are growing quickly and looking to improve.  Ingenuity and proactiveness are fundamental to success at SEFO.

Requirements

  • Intellectual curiosity, humility, self-awareness, and a passion for investing and allocating capital.
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, organizational, and leadership skills. An ambitious team player with a strong initiative that brings high energy, creativity, self-motivation, and resourcefulness to the role.
  • Highest level of integrity with a history of demonstrating sound judgment and decision making.
  • 1-2 years of experience evaluating investment opportunities in an organization focused on allocating assets preferred.
  • Ability to live in, or relocate to, Dallas full-time. This role will be in-office at least 4 days a week.
  • A bachelor’s degree in a related major and with relevant coursework is required.
  • Stellar abilities with Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and other Microsoft tools.
  • General understanding or working knowledge of institutional investing and market dynamics is preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive salary with incentive aligned bonus structure
  • Competitive benefits package, including employer paid medical insurance and 401K with matching provision
  • Ability to work closely with the Chief Investment Officer and top-tier investment partners
  • Fun, growing, entrepreneurial culture
  • Flexible time off
  • Significant exposure and responsibility for a more junior title/role; ability to grow professionally as the organization evolves
