Location: Kuwait City, Kuwait | 20252026 Academic Year

Position requires relocation; only candidates unaccompanied by dependents are eligible.

American International University (AIU) in Kuwait is seeking dynamic, student-centered Chemistry faculty to join our School of Arts & Sciences. What Youll Do

• Teach a range of Chemistry courses (introductory to advanced, including Organic and Physical Chemistry)
• Deliver engaging instruction with real-world relevance and active learning
• Supervise laboratory instruction, with emphasis on lab safety, chemical handling, and waste management
• Contribute to curriculum development, assessment, and academic advising
• Engage in departmental service and institutional initiatives
• Participate in research or scholarly activities aligned with your area of expertise

Qualifications

• Masters or PhD in Chemistry or a related field
• Minimum 3 years of university-level teaching experience (preferred)
• Strong command of English and effective classroom communication
• Familiarity with tools such as ChemDraw, AMBER, DFTB+, Quantum Espresso is a plus
• Experience teaching in classroom, hybrid, and online environments
• Cultural adaptability and willingness to work with a diverse student population
• Commitment to mentoring, student success, and academic excellence
• Experience supporting English language learners and first-generation students is valued
