Key Responsibilities: Deliver compassionate and competent patient care through effective collaboration with healthcare professionals. Administer and monitor respiratory therapies (such as aerosol and oxygen therapies) with guidance and supervision. Evaluate and adapt treatment plans based on patient progress and treatment effectiveness. Manage mechanical ventilation, ensuring precise measurements and quality care. Develop and adjust ventilator care plans in line with best practices and team communication. Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory equipment to guarantee optimal performance. Educate and support patients and families on respiratory care procedures. Promote a safe environment by adhering to policies and protocols. Stay current in the field by participating in professional development and educational opportunities. Other related duties as assigned by supervisors. Qualifications: Active Virginia license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner. Recent graduate from an accredited Respiratory Care program preferred; CRT or RRT certification is advantageous. AHA BLS Provider CPR certification required upon hire. ACLS certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire. NRP certification required within 90 days for specific departments. Membership in the American Association of Respiratory Care (AARC) preferred. Additional Information for RT Applicants: Applicants must have graduated from an accredited respiratory therapy program within the last six months. This designation is valid for a maximum of six months post-graduation or until a failing examination score. Work will be conducted under the supervision of a licensed Respiratory Therapist.
